For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Through faith we are sons and daughters of God. We are adopted into God’s family when we place our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. When we meditate upon this truth we understand that we are no longer orphans and we are no longer alone. We are able at any time to go to our Father in Heaven and spend time in His presence. When we go to the Lord in prayer the one who created all things waits and listens to our heart.
A relationship with Jesus Christ is all about intimacy. It is not about rules and regulations, it is about drawing near each and every day and being transformed into the image of Jesus Christ. We will never be transformed or changed in our own strength. But as we draw near to the Lord in prayer and spending time in God’s word we are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit.
