I delight to do Your will

I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

Psalm 40:8 NKJV

When the delight and passion of our lives become the will of Almighty God we will live in complete freedom.  We will not desire any longer the lust of the flesh and the passions of the world.  The only thing we shall crave and desire is time spent in the Lord’s presence.  We will hunger for the deeper things of God’s kingdom and He shall satisfy every hunger we have.

Desiring to do the will of God grows within us as we simply spend time with the Lord.  The disciples fell in love with Jesus more and more simply as they walked with Him each and every day.  They observed the way He lived His life and they observed and felt the way He loved people.  When Jesus walked into a room or area people were simply drawn to Him because of who He is.

We have the same opportunity today.  If we have placed our faith and trust in Jesus Christ our sins are washed away and we are commanded by the Lord to draw near to the throne of grace with confidence.  Through prayer and reading His word the Lord will speak to our hearts through the Holy Spirit and pour deep revelation into our lives.

Those who are simply willing to draw near to the Lord and make Him the priority and passion of their lives will be used mightily in this day and hour.  The Lord is seeking vessels for His glory and His love and this only comes as we become a person of His presence.  When we become a person who hungers for the presence of God more than life itself we will become a mighty instrument of the Lord upon the earth.  Simply be willing to be used and to open your heart to all that God has for you.

A prayer for you:

Heavenly Father I come before you this day and ask you to fill me to over flowing.  I ask you to fill me with greater wisdom, knowledge, revelation, and understanding.  Give me eyes to see and ears to hear.  May I become the child you have called me to be by your grace and the power of the Holy Spirit.
