The peace of Christ

Let the peace of Christ [the inner calm of one who walks daily with Him] be the controlling factor in your hearts [deciding and settling questions that arise]. To this peace indeed you were called as members in one body [of believers]. And be thankful [to God always].

Colossians 3:15 AMP

Through Jesus we have peace.  The world cannot understand the peace of God because the only way we experience the peace of God is by giving our hearts and lives to Jesus Christ.  The peace of God is available in every storm we face.

In this world we will face trials, challenges, and storms.  But in the midst of every difficulty we face we can have God’s peace at work in our lives.  The peace of God is not just some theological statement.  The peace of God is actually tangible and can be felt.  It will sustain us in the midst of any situation in which we seem overwhelmed.

The Lord understands our weaknesses because He has walked in our shoes.  He is not asking us to be strong in ourselves or try to overcome anything in our own strength.  He is simply asking us to walk with Him and rely solely upon Him.  To give all that we are facing into His hands and simply ask Him for strength and wisdom.  Hold fast to the Lord and His word.

Father today I ask you to give me strength and wisdom through everything I face.  I ask you to fill me with your peace and to lead and guide me one step at a time.  Help me to let go of my own strength or ability and to rely solely upon you and who you are.  I love you this day and thank you for the life you have given me.  In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen!
