11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. Galatians 1:11-12.
The gospel the apostle Paul preached was received directly from Jesus Christ. He did not preach a gospel that he heard others preach, but he preached forth the word that he received directly from the Lord. The apostle Paul after being arrested by the Lord on the road to Damascus spent three years in the Arabian desert. It was here that the Lord revealed to Paul all that he needed to know.
As we study the life of Paul we find that Paul refers to himself as a pharisee of pharisees. Paul knew the law and all its demands forwards and backwards. Paul before he became the apostle Paul was Saul of Tarsus and was a man who was bent on destroying the church.
But on the road to Damascus the apostle Paul encountered the Lord Jesus Christ and it was here that Paul’s life went in a vastly different direction. The Apostle Paul was used to write a majority of the New Testament and for God to truly reveal His grace and mercy He would use a life as a living example.
The apostle Paul referred to himself as the chief of all sinners and he knew where he had come from before he came to Jesus Christ. He knew that he was simply saved by the grace of God and it was the Lord Himself who revealed unto Paul all that the gospel truly meant.
This was not a story or a tale that Paul had fabricated in his mind. This was direct revelation from all mighty God. Paul would go forth and preach the gospel boldly where ever the Lord sent Him. Today the Lord is looking for many vessels who would simply be obedient.
He is looking for those who would simply sell out their hearts and lives for His kingdom. He is seeking those who would follow Him passionately and would be willing to lay down their hearts and lives. It is not until we are willing to die for Jesus Christ that we truly begin to live. As long as we try to hang on to this temporary life we will fail to experience the abundant life that Jesus has offered us.
Today if you feel the Holy Spirit drawing you ask Him for strength and wisdom. Ask Him to teach you to walk in the anointing and calling God has placed on your life. The express purpose of the Holy Spirit in our lives is to lead and guide us into all truth. He is our helper and our comforter. May we simply develop deep intimacy with the Holy Spirit on a regular basis.
