I stand at the door and knock

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.  Revelation 3:20

Jesus is knocking on the hearts of so many.  The Lord’s desire is that none would perish but come to everlasting life.  In the end it is up to a person’s freewill whether or not they will boy their knee to Jesus Christ.  Not everyone will come to salvation and the Lord Himself said that many are called, but few are chosen.

Before the Lord created anything He saw all things.  He saw every heart that would turn to Him in repentance and bow their knee before His Lordship.  Some have asked if God knew certain people would reject Him, why would He create them.  If God knew Satan was going to reject Him why would He create Him.  There are certain questions that we don’t have the answer to.  What we do know is that the decision to follow Jesus Christ is our own and that all people will stand before Jesus Christ some day.

For those who have given their hearts to Jesus Christ it is simply by the grace of God.  It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that our hearts are convicted and each day that we have upon this earth we must draw near to Him with our whole heart.  There are many who believe that they can simply give God lip service without giving Him their whole heart.  But nothing can be hidden from the Lord.  Let us draw near with all that is within us and become consumed by His love and who He is.
