For we are His workmanship

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].

Ephesians 2:10 AMP

Before God created everything He knew every human heart that would humble themselves before Him and choose Jesus as Lord and Savior.  Sometimes people will ask if God knew Adam and Eve were going to sin why did He create them?  If God knew Satan was going to rebel why did He create him?  Without choice and without freewill true love cannot exist.  God did not create us to be robots, He has given us life and it is the decision of each and ever person who has ever lived upon the earth weather to choose Him or reject Him.

But for those of us who have chosen Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have been created for specific works upon this earth.  Every member in the body of Christ has been given gifts and an anointing.  The anointing we have been given has been specifically designed based on the destiny that God has created us for.  There is nothing on this earth that happens by chance, everything happens by divine appointment.  Even those whose hearts are committed to wickedness, the Lord will use the wickedness of the enemy to bring glory and honor to His name.

We need to understand that we are God’s treasured possession.  He loves us with an everlasting love that we cannot even begin to fully comprehend because of the limitations of our minds.  But He demonstrated His love to us by sending His one and only begotten Son to the earth to take our place.  Jesus demonstrated the love of the Father by choosing the nails and the crown of thorns and the humiliation and agony of Calvary.

We need to begin to understand who we are in Christ.  We need to understand the authority we have through Jesus.  As we draw near to the Lord and seek Him each day in the place of prayer and through the study of His word He will reveal to us why we have been created and He will lead us step by step into the destiny He has created for us.  The only way that we can fail is by not pursuing Him with our whole heart.  Because if we pursue Him His grace is sufficient for all things and His strength made perfect in our weakness.

Today don’t allow the past to keep you bound.  Understand that every day is a new day in Jesus.  Begin today by spending time alone with the Lord and simply ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you.  As the Holy Spirit to give you ears to hear, eyes to see, and a heart to understand.  Ask the Holy Spirit that His voice and leading would be crystal clear to your heart.  Draw near today to Jesus and discover who you are called to be.
