33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Jesus has told us in this world we will have trouble. God uses every tribulation and trial we face to refine and grow us. Nothing is wasted in God’s kingdom. Many times when we are in the midst of a trial we will often wonder why we are going through it and what the purpose is behind it. But many times we will not come to understand the purpose of the trial until we are long through it. It is in the midst of every trial we face that the Lord develops deep trust within our hearts.
As we develop deep trust in the Lord and upon His word, deep intimacy is developed between us and the Holy Spirit. As we examine God’s word and we examine every person God has used greatly on the earth the one thing we come to realize is that trials and tribulations were a natural part of their lives. It is when we are in the midst of a trial that the Lord does a very deep work in our hearts continuing to decrease us and increase Him within us. Let us simply continue to draw near and abide in the Lord. Our lives are in His hands.
