Be strong and courageous

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Joshua 1:9 NLT

This command was given to Joshua by the Lord through the angel the Lord had sent to speak to Joshua.  The Lord knew the challenges that faced Joshua and multiple times the Lord told Joshua to not be afraid.  In our own lives we face many challenges on a daily basis.  Every one of us who has placed our trust and faith in Jesus Christ have a destiny before us.

The enemy will try to overwhelm us with doubt, fear, worry, and unbelief to try and paralyze us form moving forward.  But the key to moving forward and taking ground is simply abiding in Him.  The Lord told Joshua to not allow the law to depart from his lips.  It is vital that we are in God’s word daily because the battle truly exist in our minds.  We are assaulted by the lies of the enemy and in our own strength we are unable to overcome them.  But when our minds are fixed upon the Lord and His word we become an unstoppable force for God’s kingdom.

Today if you find yourself in the midst of a difficult trial understand you are not alone.  The Lord goes before you and prepares every step.  He provides all that you need and has designed and created you for every challenge you will face.  You have been chosen before the foundations of the world and the Lord has covered you with His love, grace, and mercy.  No matter the giant we face, we will be victorious because He has already overcome the grave.  Let us simply press on toward the high call in Christ Jesus.
