Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders

11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne and the living creatures and the elders; and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,12 saying with a loud voice,

“Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing.”

13 And every created thing which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all things in them, I heard saying,

“To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be blessing and honor and glory and dominion forever and ever.”

14 And the four living creatures kept saying, “Amen.” And the elders fell down and worshiped.  Revelation 5:11-14

The number of angels, living creatures, and elders is said to be myriad upon myriad.  The definition of a myriad is an indefinite number of persons.  The throne room of God that John is experiencing in this vision is vast and someday when we are raptured and go to be with the Lord we will be surrounded by all those who came before us and be surrounded by the many thousand upon thousand of angels who remained faithful to the Lord and did not rebel when Satan rebelled.

Jesus  is the one who is worthy to be praised because all He has accomplished at Calvary.  Our lives should simply be lived to glorify and magnify the name of Jesus.  There brings no greater joy to the heart of our Father when we choose to use our lives to glorify the name of Jesus.  This is all possible because of the Lord’s grace and His power.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit we are able to accomplish all things in the name of Jesus for God’s kingdom.

All who will be in Heaven before the Lord’s throne shall worship Jesus and bow down before Him.  There are many in the world today who reject and profane the name of Jesus.  But the amazing thing about God’s grace and His mercy is that no matter how many times a person rejects Jesus that the Holy Spirit will continue to knock upon the door of their heart.  If that person is willing to humble themselves before God and ask forgiveness, the Lord is willing to forgive.  The offer of salvation is open to any that will humble themselves before Jesus Christ.  But a person must be willing to make Jesus both Lord and Savior.  Many are willing to make Jesus savior, but few are truly willing to make Him Lord.  When we come to Jesus we must be willing to lay our lives down before Him and His will and His kingdom become the driving force of our lives.  Our lives no longer belong to us.
