Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”  Joshua 1:9

The Lord commands us to be strong and of good courage.  These words were originally spoken to Joshua as he was about the lead the Israelites to take the promise land.  But before all of us God has a destiny and a promise land.  The Lord is with us where ever we go and no matter the challenges that stand before us, the Lord will slay and move out of the way everyone.

But we must see all things through the eyes of the Lord and continue to press on in prayer, fasting, and the study of God’s word.  There is much ground to be taken and a mighty harvest that stands before us.  Fear and discouragement are two of the great weapons of the enemy to try to paralyze us from moving forward.  But we must set our minds on things above and God’s kingdom.  God desires to do much today through the hearts and lives of His people.  He is calling us to keep moving forward and taking ground.  When we go forth in His strength and His power there is nothing that can stop us and there is nothing that can’t be accomplished.

Psalm 42:8

The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life. Psalm 42:8

His song shall be with me. The Lord sings over us. He pouts His grace and His love upon us. By His grace and mercy we have been saved and He has simply called us to walk in obedience to the Holy Spirit. We have the honor and privilege to glorify His name daily. May we make our pursuit of Him the priority of our lives. May we remove anything that would hinder our relationship with Him.

Proverbs 2:8

“He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord leads and guides us in all things. The foundation of His throne are righteousness and justice. He goes before us and preserves us. In following Jesus we will face many challenges along the way. But every challenge is meant to refine and stretch us. When we come to Christ that is only the beginning. When the Lord calls us He sees what we will become. The most important things is walking daily with Him. He must become our obsession and our every waking thought. As our minds are set upon things above we will walk in freedom and liberty. His plans and purposes are far greater than we can even conceive or understand. But the key is trusting Him each day and spending time in His presence.

Psalm 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Psalm 16:8 NKJV

In Christ we shall not be moved.  As we trust the Lord each day, He will sustain us by His grace and by His power.  We serve the one who spoke all things into existence.  We serve Him who holds all things in His hands.  He holds the breath of every creature upon the earth in His hands.  Too many times we make the Lord way too small in our eyes.  When we go before the Lord in prayer we need to understand the majesty of the one we are praying to.  We need to understand the honor and privilege we have in being able to pour our heart out to Him.  As we abide and walk with Him each day, the Lord will lead and guide and prepare every step.  We shall not be moved.

Colossians 1:28

“Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

True maturity is found in Christ alone. True maturity happens through the pure teaching of God’s word. If we spend our days under teaching that distorts the word of God it will hinder our walk with the Lord. It will keep us from walking in all that God has for us.

All preaching and teaching we hear should be examined against the truth of God’s word. His word is the standard for all truth and we must be diligent with the study of God’s word. May we make the study of His word the priority of our lives.

1 John 5:12

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. 1 John 5:12

True life is found in Jesus alone. He has come to give life and give it abundantly. It is only through walking with Him daily that we experience all the Lord has for us. As we seek Him daily in prayer and the study of His word we come to know the depths of who He is. We are transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. But the only way we experience the life Jesus has for us is by walking with Him daily.

Philippians 4:9

“The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We are called to walk in obedience to God and His word. When the original apostles walked the earth during the first century church they were in the process of writing the New Testament.  The reason their living example was so important is because they needed to model through their lives the character and nature of who Jesus is.

Today we have the truth of God’s word.  We have God’s completed word from Genesis through Revelation.  Through diligent study of God’s word the Lord shall reveal Himself unto us.  As we study our minds and our hearts are transformed by His power and His grace.  May we daily walk in obedience to the leading of the Holy Spirit and to the truth of God’s word.  Each day we have on this earth is a gift from our Father in Heaven.  No matter what we face, He will lead us through to victory.
