Colossians 1:9-12: We have not stopped praying for you

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Colossians 1:9-12

The apostle Paul knew the importance of prayer. He understood the spiritual dynamic that takes place in prayer. If we are in leadership and desire those we shepherd to fully walk in all that God has for them we must be diligent in the place of prayer.

Wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and revelation is given by the Holy Spirit alone. It is the Holy Spirit who leads and guides us into all truth. As we pray for those the Lord has placed on our hearts and pray according to the leading of the Holy Spirit, we see the Lord pour out greater things in their lives.

God desires to continually take us deeper in Him. He desires to take us from glory to glory. Our journey with Him is one of continually growth. As we come to a greater understanding of His word and who He is we naturally grow in Him in a greater and deeper way.

Father I come to you today and ask that you would continue to pour out greater revelation, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding into my heart and life. I thank you for your grave and patience with me. Continue to lead and guide me one step and day at a time. In the mighty name of Jesus Amen.
